Subjects We Study
Our last research project culminated in publishing Mighty Mid-Sized Companies: How Leaders Overcome 7 Silent Growth Killers (Bibliomotion, Boston, MA September 2014). We based the book on research findings from over 100 interviews (as well as our own experience).
We are interested in all subjects related to the management, leadership and growth of midsized businesses (from $10M to $1B). In particular, we are interested in discovering leading practices employed by midsized business leaders.
Any midsized business with an interesting success or a knotty problem may be an interesting interview for us. Outside-the-box management strategies that have worked (or failed) can be illuminating too.
THE BENEFITS OF PARTICIPATING
Companies that participate in the research effort will be entitled to a private post-research briefing with Robert to share the details of the research and key findings. With written permission from the people we interview, success stories may be a part of published articles.
The interviews are confidential. Any articles/publishing from the interviews will be approved and fact checked by the subject prior to publication. Case studies may be disguised if preferred.
WHERE CONCLUSIONS WILL BE PUBLISHED
The learnings from of the research work is delivered in several places. Most immediate is on my Forbes.com column. Here is one example of that. Deeper articles come out several times a year in my newsletter. We are always working on the next book, and research may find itself there.
WE ARE NOT A PR FIRM
We never accept money for what we write, nor do we interview and write articles as PR. Of course, when we find great lessons that will be instructive to our readers and clients, we like to illustrate them with named case studies, and in some cases, that is useful to those companies that are highlighted.
